Hello !
I did my Biology examination yesterday,
one question in the paper made me confuse.. it said "What are the
differences between a macrophage and a phagocyte?"
I actually thought that macrophages are types of phagocyte..
and i did not know the differences because i thought they both engulf pathogens. :(
it would be nice if you could help :)

You are correct macrophages are a type of white blood cells that are phagocytes. However phagocyte is used as a very broad generic term and just the means the ability of a cell to engulf a particle and thus could apply to lots of different cell types and not just white blood cells.
