I am working on a project regarding taxonomic evaluation of Phialutus genus of bush frogs from Northeast india. I would be grateful if anyone tells me what genes ( and the corresponding primers ) are used for phylogenetic analysis of frogs and what are the pros and cons of using them. Recently I have come across a lot of literature advocating against use of CO1 mt-gene.To what extent is that true ? What genes are used instead of that now ?

Thank You

Sorry but it seems no-one knows the answer to your question.
